Protecting our seniors: why Medicare fraud is personal to me

I got into this work because I care about people: specifically, the people who built this country, raised families, and are now navigating one of the most confusing systems imaginable.

An older couple in conversation, representing the seniors we work to protect.

I got into this work because I care about people, specifically, the people who built this country, raised families, and are now navigating one of the most confusing systems imaginable just to get the healthcare they've earned.

Medicare fraud makes me angry. Not in an abstract, policy-paper kind of way. In a this is happening to real people I know and love kind of way.

The problem is bigger than most people realize

Medicare fraud costs Americans an estimated $60 to $90 billion every year. But the dollar figure isn't what keeps me up at night. It's the senior who gets billed for a wheelchair she never received. The grandfather whose Medicare number gets stolen and his coverage quietly exhausted. The retiree who signs up for a "free screening" and ends up enrolled in a plan he never wanted.

Fraudsters target seniors because the system is complex and confusing, and they count on that confusion. When you don't fully understand what you're covered for, you're less likely to notice when something's wrong.

Seniors deserve better

The healthcare needs of older Americans are real and significant. Most are managing multiple chronic conditions, navigating prescription costs, and trying to understand coverage that changes every single year. They deserve a system that works for them, and they deserve someone in their corner who will make sure it does.

That's why I started TG Benefit Solutions.
